Wiz Khalifa Faces Indictment Over On-Stage Weed Smoke Incident in Romania

Reports indicate that the rapper could face a prison term ranging from three months to two years, or a monetary penalty, if found guilty.

Famous American artist, Wiz Khalifa, has reportedly been charged in Romania for smoking marijuana during his performance at the Beach, Please! Festival this past summer.

According to Romania-Insider, the authorities indicted Wiz, whose real name is Cameron Thomaz, for illegal drug use during a session at the Constanța Tribunal on October 16. It is important to note that recreational marijuana is prohibited in Romania.

The report states that if convicted, the rapper may face a prison sentence between three months to two years, or he could be fined.

Wiz Khalifa headlined the Beach, Please! Festival on July 13, where he was arrested after using a joint on stage but was later released.

“Investigations showed that during his performance at a music festival in the Costinești resort, Constanța County, he was found with over 18 grams of cannabis (a controlled substance) and smoked another amount of marijuana on stage in a hand-rolled cigarette,” stated the Romania Police.
