The Commander of Federal Road Safety Corps, Badagry Unit, Mr. William Manga, disclosed that the tragic accident occurred at 6:00 a.m.
Upon receiving the report at 11:25 a.m., the FRSC team swiftly responded and reached the scene by 11:26 a.m.
The fatal incident took place at the Mosafejo-Mowo axis of the expressway involving an unidentified driver. The victim suffered head injuries and unfortunately passed away before assistance arrived.
The deceased was promptly transported to the mortuary at the General Hospital in Badagry with no belongings recovered from her.
Warning pedestrians about the dangers of crossing expressways, the unit commander stressed the importance of vigilance. He also implored motorists to adhere to speed limits and traffic regulations for road safety.
