Jurgen Klopp had maintained a strong record against Liverpool’s biggest rivals, and Slot seamlessly continued this tradition, with Luis Diaz scoring twice and Salah adding one to secure a dominant win in Manchester.
“I began to believe in our title chances early in the season after that decisive win against United in September. We faced solid teams before, but to achieve a 3-0 victory at their ground when we anticipated them to be contenders for the top six made me realize, ‘Yes, we can challenge for the league this year,” he stated, according to quotes from BBC Sport.
“Following our 2-0 win against Man City in February, I felt it would be challenging for our competitors to surpass us.”
