Jermaine Jenas, known for his appearances on UK sports television and BBC programming, had his contract terminated by the broadcaster.
The former Tottenham Hotspur and England player was let go by the BBC on August 22, 2024.
Jenas, 41, had been a regular pundit and co-commentator for Premier League and UEFA Champions League matches since retiring from professional football in 2016.
In addition to sports coverage, he also co-hosted The One Show and presented shows for Channel 4, with speculation of a future role as a Match of the Day host.
In April 2022, Jenas was involved in hosting the FIFA World Cup draw for the Qatar tournament.

Reports emerged on August 22, according to Daily Mail, stating that Jenas was sacked by the BBC over allegations of inappropriate behavior, resulting in his removal from hosting The One Show.
The Sun reported that an internal investigation conducted by the BBC led to this decision.
According to BBC, Jenas was dismissed following complaints about his workplace conduct, prompting BBC bosses to take action: “We can confirm that he is no longer part of our presenting lineup.”
Following his departure from the BBC, Jenas secured a role with talkSPORT, a popular UK sports radio station.

Jenas played a significant part in Tottenham Hotspur for eight years, making over 200 appearances before successful stints at Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest.
