Xavi Eyes £83m Barcelona Sensation for Man United If He Becomes Manager

Manchester United finds itself amidst speculation as former Barcelona manager Xavi has proposed a significant requirement if considered for the head coach position, currently held by Erik ten Hag.

Xavi is reportedly interested in the role but insists on a key signing to spark a transformation within the team.

Raphinha: A Potential Game-Changer for Xavi at Manchester United

According to sources (via Fichajes), Xavi views Barcelona’s Raphinha as the crucial player to enhance Manchester United’s underperforming offense.

Raphinha is enjoying an impressive season, scoring nine goals and assisting eight times in just 13 matches.

Given Marcus Rashford’s recent form, Xavi believes that Raphinha could significantly benefit United’s attacking lineup.

Currently, Manchester United is placed 12th in the Premier League, marking their most challenging start to a season under Ten Hag.

With critical games against Fenerbahce and West Ham approaching, it remains to be seen whether INEOS will consider Xavi for the managerial position, which largely depends on acquiring Raphinha, whose transfer fee is estimated to be around £83 million.

If Manchester United secures Raphinha, he would likely become one of the club’s most significant investments to date.

Though there were talks of Raphinha moving to Saudi Arabia during the summer, he expressed a desire to make his mark at Barcelona, where he has already tallied 29 goals and 33 assists across 100 appearances.

However, Raphinha’s potential move might mean the end of Rashford’s tenure at United, as he has struggled this season with only one league goal. As the club stands at a pivotal moment, Xavi’s demand for Raphinha might be the decisive step necessary for Manchester United to regain its form.
