Peter Obi Announces Intention to Challenge Nigerian Election Process and Outcome

Peter Obi has clarified his earlier statement that he would only contest the process that led to the declaration of Bola Tinubu as the winner of the February 25 presidential election. He had stated in an interview on Arise TV’s ‘The Morning Show’ that he would only challenge the electoral process, and not the outcome itself. Obi then went on to explain that the process of coming to a position must be excellent in order to be respected. However, he later took to Twitter to state that he would challenge both the electoral process and the declaration itself at the Presidential Elections Tribunal (PET).
