Rita Odafe
The father of late Nollywood star Junior Pope has passed away.
This unfortunate news was shared on Instagram by Jennifer, the widow of the late actor.
Jennifer reflected on her experiences with her late father-in-law and conveyed her gratitude for the times they had together.
She expressed, “Just a month ago, I was with you in Enugu… Shortly after, Reme (my mother-in-law) called to check on us and heartbreakingly shared that her husband had joined my husband. I was taken aback but quickly regained my composure as she started to cry. Ozor Luke Odonwodo was a man who truly cared for me, and I’m so grateful to have spent time with him, even if it was brief and unknowingly in his final days.
He reached an impressive age, living a fulfilling life, making sacrifices for his family, and happily enjoying the rewards of his hard work.
Reme, my dear, this year has been overwhelming, but I pray for strength for you and all of us to persevere through these difficult times.
Farewell, Father and Son. Your absence is deeply felt, yet we cling to the hope of resurrection as promised in John 5:28-29 and Acts 24:15. Ozor Luke Odonwodo and Jr. Pope Odonwodo, may your souls find eternal peace until we meet again.
