Vice President Sen Kashim Shettima has landed in Sweden for a two-day official visit aimed at strengthening trade and diplomatic ties between Nigeria and Sweden.
This visit was confirmed by his spokesperson, Stanley Nkwocha, on Thursday morning.
Shettima’s delegation includes Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang, Foreign Affairs Minister Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, and several heads of government agencies.
The visit, which is an initiative of President Bola Tinubu, will feature important discussions with top Swedish officials.
Meetings are also set up for the Vice President with Crown Princess Victoria and the Swedish Prime Minister.
Areas of potential cooperation during this trip will focus on sectors such as ICT, digital transformation, education, sustainable transportation, agriculture, and mining.
Shettima plans to head back to Nigeria on Saturday.
