In Lokoja, Kogi State, a woman experiencing mental health issues delivered a baby boy beneath a bridge at Ganaja junction.
Activist Chukwuemeka Mohammed noted that by the time he got to the site on the evening of October 21, the newborn had already passed away.
He urged the Ministry of Environment to arrange for the burial of the deceased infant.
Moreover, he emphasized the importance of providing the woman with essentials such as food, clothing, and medical care.
“We were alerted about a mentally challenged woman who gave birth to a boy under the bridge at Ganaja junction in Lokoja. My team and I promptly went there, but when we arrived, the baby had already died,” he shared.
