Nollywood Star Joins U.S. Army
Princess Chineke, a well-known actress from Nollywood, has officially enlisted in the U.S. Army, a surprising turn in her career.
This announcement was made through a post on social media.
Previously a beauty queen who represented her state in the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGN) contest, Princess has swapped her glamorous title for a military uniform.
With this enlistment, she becomes the first actress from Nollywood to take on a role in the U.S. military.
In her earlier career, she had modeled in various commercials and fashion shows.
In her Instagram post about joining the Army, she expressed:
“I am now an American Soldier,
Part of a strong team,
We are proud members of the Army,
With honor, I serve my country.
This I will defend, with God’s help.
God bless America.
What God cannot do does not exist.”
