Tragic Death of Banker Despite Ransom Payment

A female banker named Ifeoma has reportedly lost her life at the hands of kidnappers in Anambra State, even after a ransom was paid.

Information surrounding this case is limited at this time, but it has been indicated that she was taken while in Onitsha.

Human rights advocate Harrison Gwamnishi took to Facebook on January 14, 2025, to share that the kidnappers had made a ransom demand. Despite the family complying, the kidnappers went ahead and murdered her, leaving her body near Ideani junction on the Nnobi/Alor route.

“Every day lives are lost, and it is heartbreaking that no action seems to be taken to stop these killings. WHO WILL BE NEXT? If we remain passive, it could happen to any one of us,” he stated.
