Stassi Schroeder has issued an update on her daughter’s health after she was forced to spend a “long, scary day” at the hospital.
The “Vanderpump Rules” alum and her husband Beau Clark rushed their 2-year-old daughter, Hartford, to the hospital on Monday after they noticed the toddler struggling to breathe.
The family is now back at home as Schroeder gave fans more details about the ordeal.
The reality star, who is pregnant with baby No. 2, said the toddler was experiencing “rapidly aggressively breathing,” which led them to seek urgent medical care.
“Long scary day at the hospital,” Schroeder wrote on her Instagram Story Tuesday. “We brought her in after she was rapidly aggressively breathing — doctors think it’s ‘reactive airways disease’ (which is essentially pediatric asthma) on top of a virus.”
“She’s such a little soldier,” the Bravolebrity added.
On Monday morning, Clark posted a video of their daughter’s labored breathing on his Instagram story, writing, “This was this morning … If you see your child breathing like this. Take them to the hospital ASAP!!”
He later posted an update saying, “Just got home. 6 hours at the hospital. She’s improved slightly with her breathing, but it’s still hard” alongside a photo of a nebulizer.
“She’s going to be on albuterol for the next two days with this breathing thing,” he continued.
Symptoms of Reactive Airway Disease include a chronic cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, wheezing, and chest tightness, according to the Cleveland Clinic.
On Monday, Clark said Hartford had “lots of mucus in her lungs” and “a high fever.”
