Justin and Hailey Bieber have shared the heartfelt reason behind naming their newborn son, Jack Blues Bieber. The couple decided on the name Jack as a way to honor Justin’s father, Jeremy Bieber, as it happens to be Jeremy’s middle name.
Justin, 30, had a complicated relationship with his father, Jeremy, who left when Justin was only four years old. However, choosing the name Jack demonstrates a touching tribute to Jeremy, highlighting a positive connection between father and son.
In a 2015 interview with Billboard, Justin candidly discussed the estrangement from his father and revealed that Jeremy had to grow and evolve before they could establish a more consistent relationship.
Justin reflected on his father’s past actions, saying, “He was immature. He left for, like, a year when I was about 4. Went to British Columbia, came back on Father’s Day.” Despite the challenges, Justin emphasized that his father has been present in his life since then, dispelling any misconceptions of him being absent.
