I first read The Secret book 15 years ago when I was 23 years old. My family was literally behind me to get me married. I had no particular person in my mind for marriage and at the same time, since I was reading The Secret, I wrote down all the qualities I wanted in my husband on a piece of paper and then forgot about it.
In a month or so my mom had put up my name on a matrimonial site and found a match for me. Under protest, a meeting was fixed and on our first meeting itself, I liked the boy, and the marriage was fixed.
He was literally the person I had dreamed about and later when I read the paper that I had written about my life partner, all the qualities were fulfilled. He is funny, understanding, handsome, and loving. We have perfect chemistry and now even after 14 years of knowing each other and 13 years of our marriage, we are still madly in love with each other. We are soul mates. People who don’t know us ask us if we are newly married and if we had a love marriage.
