Tragic Fire in Ho Chi Minh City Boarding House
Early in the morning on December 27, a catastrophic fire broke out in a five-story boarding house located in Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City, resulting in the deaths of two individuals and extensive damage to the property. Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the fire.
By 8:00 AM, local officials continued to examine the site of the incident, which took place at a boarding house on Street No. 10 in Tang Nhon Phu B Ward.
The fire started around 5:30 AM on the ground floor, which was designated for parking by the tenants.
This building, comprising one floor at ground level and four additional stories, contained about 20 rooms and housed numerous residents.
Due to the rapid spread of the flames, nearby residents were unable to offer assistance, resulting in chaos as tenants attempted to flee the inferno.
Upon receiving emergency calls, the fire and rescue team from Thu Duc City dispatched several fire trucks and a large number of firefighters to the scene.
The situation was brought under control within half an hour.
Tragically, the fire resulted in the deaths of two residents, identified as Tran Thi T. (aged 19) and Nguyen Truong G. (aged 24), both hailing from Thai Binh Province.
Additionally, several other individuals sustained injuries and were quickly transported to hospitals for urgent care.
Local authorities are in the process of evaluating the damages and investigating what ignited the fire.
