Beginning on January 1, 2025, vehicles that operate on clean, eco-friendly energy sources will be issued green inspection labels, as stated in the recently released Circular 47/2024 by the Ministry of Transport.
This circular details the vehicle inspection process, including exemptions for certain motor vehicles and established guidelines for the emission testing of motorcycles and mopeds.
Currently, commercial vehicles receive yellow inspection stickers, while non-commercial vehicles are given blue ones. With the implementation of the new Road Traffic Safety Law on January 1, 2025, commercial vehicles will instead sport yellow license plates, eliminating the need for distinct inspection labels.
Circular 47 specifies three different categories of inspection certifications and labels. Vehicles that clear the inspection, which evaluates identification, overall condition, upper and lower components, braking performance, and environmental standards, will obtain the respective certificates and labels.
The three types of inspection labels include:
Green inspection labels: Issued to vehicles powered by clean, green energy and environmentally sustainable fuel.
Orange-yellow inspection labels: Assigned to all other motor vehicles.
Pink-purple inspection labels: Designated for specialized machinery and equipment.
These inspection labels must be affixed to specific parts of the vehicle. For vehicles equipped with a front cabin and windshield, the label should be placed in the upper-right corner on the interior side of the windshield, facing outward.
For trailers, semi-trailers, and specialized machines, the labels must be safeguarded with a clear layer to maintain their visibility and integrity. Labels will be located in easily noticeable areas on the vehicle.
At inspection facilities, authorized personnel will apply the labels during the inspection process. Owners of vehicles eligible for a first-time inspection exemption or those inspected elsewhere are required to attach the labels themselves.

Conventional motor vehicles will receive orange-yellow inspection labels.
