A group of four abducted corp members in Ifon, Ose council area of Ondo state, shared the terrifying details of their captivity.
The corp members were kidnapped on the Ifon-Owo highway while returning from the NYSC orientation camp in Enugu State. Tragically, the driver of their vehicle and a female passenger were shot dead during the attack.
The victims identified as Adewole Paul Oluwaseun, Oluwadara Feranmi, Andrew Patience, Oribamise Taiwo, and Ajayi Lekan.
Speaking to reporters in Akure, one of the corp members, Patient Andrew, revealed that they were subjected to torture and were given only dirty water and garri to eat.
Andrew recounted the harrowing journey from Abia state to Onitsha and later to Akure, where they were ambushed by their captors.
She described the abduction ordeal that lasted for days, where they were forced to trek through the bush without adequate food and water.
Regarding the ransom, she mentioned the initial demand of N30 million per person, which was later negotiated down to N1 million each before they were released.
The victims were left in the wilderness before authorities rescued them.
