Accord Party Rescinds Suspension of 26 Members

Accord Party Reinstates 26 Suspended Members (via Primetweets)

The Accord Party, under the leadership of Chris Imumolen, has decided to reinstate 26 members who were previously expelled or suspended from the party.

Imumolen made this announcement at an Emergency National Executive Committee (NEC) Meeting held in Abuja on September 4, 2024.

This action comes after a court ruling in Abuja directed the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to recognize Imumolen as the National Chairman of the Accord Party.

The reinstated members had faced suspensions linked to earlier party controversies.

Those among the reinstated individuals include Rev. Isaac Adebayo Adeniyi, Yaku Akintayo, Mogaji Igbinsola Paul, Innocent Igboekwe, Prince Joseph James, Adebayo Daniel, Oladapo Joseph, Rukayat Olanrewaju, Tolutope Babalola, Alhaji Nasiru Bolarinwa, Jamilu Abass, and others.

Recently, a federal high court in Abuja affirmed Prof. Christopher Imumolen as the rightful chairman of the Accord Party.

The party also encouraged members who feel marginalized in any state to bring their concerns to the conflict resolution committee overseen by the national secretary.

This effort aims to enhance operational efficiency and tackle the existing challenges encountered by the party going forward.
