He said that the proposal would not work because the immunity of politicians is not absolute.
“The immunity of a politician is not absolute. It can be revoked. It can be revoked by the court. And if the court decides that the politician has committed a crime, then they can be punished,” he said.
Adeyanju said that he has been in touch with the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, and has asked him to take action to correct the irregularities that marred the recent elections.
He said that Buhari has not yet responded to his request.
