Renowned football transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano has reported that Bundesliga team Hoffenheim is poised to sign Nigerian striker Gift Orban.
Romano stated that Hoffenheim is engaged in advanced negotiations to acquire Orban.
The 22-year-old forward is anticipated to depart Lyon during the upcoming January transfer window.

“An agreement appears imminent as Hoffenheim is currently the most serious contender engaging with OL, despite interest from clubs in Turkey,” Romano shared on X on Thursday.
Orban, who has garnered attention from Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig, VFB Stuttgart, and Trabzonspor, is likely to leave Ligue 1 team Lyon following limited opportunities to play.
Lyon acquired the striker for approximately €14 million from KAA Gent in January 2023.
However, he has struggled to meet expectations, managing only two goals in five appearances for Lyon.
Additionally, Lyon faces pressure to part with players in January to alleviate their financial issues.
