Teacher Arrested for Alleged Assault on Young Girl

A 56-year-old man named Hespero Jingco has been taken into custody in Baytown, Texas, for the suspected sexual assault of a five-year-old girl at a daycare run by his wife.

It was reported that a newly hired staff member at the daycare voiced concerns to the girl’s mother about several unsettling incidents involving Jingco. These concerns led to the involvement of local authorities.

Jingco, who also worked at Baytown Christian Academy as an educator, is facing serious charges of super aggravated sexual assault of a minor and is currently held in Harris County jail with a bond set at $150,000.

Details from police investigations reveal that Jingco allegedly engaged in inappropriate physical contact with the child, including instances described by an employee as alarming. The employee reported witnessing Jingco kiss the child while she sat on his lap in his office.

This troubling behavior was brought to the police’s attention by the child’s mother after being informed by the daycare employee in August. During her police interview, the girl indicated that while her clothes weren’t removed, she had been touched inappropriately multiple times.

In response to the situation, Baytown Christian Academy issued a statement clarifying that Jingco had previously passed a background check and emphasized that no allegations related to any students or activities at the school were reported.

The institution expressed its commitment to student safety, stating, “The well-being of our students is our highest priority.” As of now, Jingco is no longer associated with the school and was known for teaching mathematics and serving as a pastor there.

Additionally, a search on the Texas Department of Health and Human Services indicates that Jingco’s wife’s daycare, where the alleged incidents occurred, lacks state licensing.

Jingco, who is originally from the Philippines and not a U.S. citizen, is scheduled for a court appearance on December 12 concerning these allegations.
