Betty Irabor, the founder of Genevieve Magazine, has dispelled rumors surrounding the death of Nollywood icon Olu Jacobs.
Speculation had circulated on social media claiming the veteran actor had passed away at the age of 82 on Sunday.
Jacobs had been contending with dementia for some time.
However, Irabor took to Twitter to reaffirm: “Olu Jacobs is well and alive. Please disregard all gossip about his demise.”
In an effort to confirm his status, Jacobs’ family shared a video confirming that the actor is indeed alive.

Reflecting on the past year, Joke Silva, Jacobs’ wife, disclosed the significant impact of Jacob’s illness on their lives.
She shared: “It hasn’t been easy. There was a point of acceptance for me that everything happening is reality and it is like the person I married, 80 per cent of the time is no longer there.”
