Pastors Released After Kidnapping in Adamawa

Last week, two pastors from the Brethren Church in Nigeria (EYN) named Rev. James Kwayang and his Secretary, Rev. Ishaku Chiwar, were kidnapped but have now been released.

The EYN president, Dr. Daniel Mbaya, confirmed their safe return.

He expressed gratitude for the support and prayers from church members and supporters, as mentioned in a statement by the church’s Media and Communication Officer, Mr. Mbursa Jinatu.
“Today, we rejoice in the safe return of these two faithful ministers, highlighting the strength of our united prayers and community support,” said Mbaya.

The church did not disclose any details about whether a ransom was paid for their release.

It is noted that the pastors were taken from the Malabu area in the Fufore Local Government area last week.

As of Monday morning, the Adamawa State Police have not made any statements regarding this incident.
