Lagos State Governor Bababjide Sanwo-Olu has ordered the State Ministry of Education to investigate a complaint from a parent whose child was reportedly expelled from Odomola Junior Secondary School in Epe for carrying a bag with a sticker of Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party. A video of the incident has gone viral on social media.

In response, Commissioner for Education Mrs Folasade Adefisayo announced that the governor has approved the recall of the principal, who will be asked to explain the incident. She also reassured the public that the matter would be dealt with according to strict regulations, as sending the student home was unacceptable if true.
