Mercy Chinwo and Her Husband Spread Joy Through Food Distribution in Rivers Community

On December 30, 2024, a charitable event was organized by the Mercy Is Blessed Foundation, affiliated with Grace and Truth Nation (GNT), the music label of gospel artist Mercy Chinwo.

 

Gospel artist Mercy Chinwo and her spouse, Blessed Uzochikwa, have provided support to residents in the Rumudara area of Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

 

This initiative included the distribution of food and essential items on December 30, 2024, through their charitable organization, Mercy Is Blessed Foundation.

 

The foundation provided bags of rice, cassava flakes (garri), canned tomato paste, and yams. Additionally, community members received monetary contributions and clothing. The recipients included vulnerable individuals such as the elderly and single mothers.

 

Uzochikwa mentioned that the purpose of this initiative is to uplift the community, create sustainable livelihoods, and express God’s love.

 

“The essence of Christ’s teachings is love, and He embodies the true spirit of the season. As stated in John 3:16, the act of giving is a fundamental expression of love. It affirms that ‘For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life,’” he explained.

“Giving embodies love, which is the core mission of the Mercy Is Blessed Foundation. We strive to share Jesus Christ’s love with those struggling to meet their basic needs. Our aim is not solely to provide food but to empower individuals and help them achieve lasting income.”
