Okey Bakassi Recognized as King
Famed Nollywood actor and comedian, Okey Bakassi, has been formally named a monarch.
He assumes the role of king for the Umuihuocha community, situated in Imo State.
A video shared by Bakassi on Tuesday showcased the presentation ceremony where he was introduced as the traditional leader of Umuihuocha Autonomous Community in Mbaise.
His coronation, which celebrates the rich Igbo heritage, awarded him the title ‘His Royal Highness Eze Okechukwu Onyegbule, the Okwe II of Umuihuocha Obohia’.
In the video posted on his Instagram, he expressed: “Special presentation as king (Eze) of Umuihuocha community.”
It’s worth noting that this crowning follows closely behind his announcement of becoming the traditional ruler, which was made just two weeks prior.
