Police Capture Notorious Bauchi Dealer Known for ‘Suck and Die’ Scheme

The Bauchi State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of a suspect involved in the trade of dangerous substances.

The police apprehended Kabiru Adamu, a suspected seller of methylene chloride, commonly referred to as “Suck and Die,” along with Diamond Rubber Solution. This operation took place in Bauchi.

SP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, the police spokesperson, made the announcement on Monday, November 25, 2024. The operation led to the seizure of 30 bottles of “Suck and Die” and 264 units of Diamond Rubber Solution.

According to the statement, “On November 22, 2024, members of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS), under the command of CSP Suleiman M. Tambuwal, apprehended the suspect in Tudun Wadan Dan Iya (Bayan Gari), Bauchi.”

The operation led to the capture of Kabiru Adamu from Igbo Quarters, during which the following items were confiscated: 1. 264 pieces of OSHN Diamond Rubber Solution. 2. 19 bottles (30ml each) of methylene chloride (“Suck and Die”). 3. 363 empty bottles.

In questioning, Adamu admitted that he acquired the products from his employer and received payment after selling them. He disclosed that each bottle of “Suck and Die” sells for N300 and each Diamond Rubber Solution piece for N250.

“The Commissioner of Police, CP Auwal Musa Mohammed, has ordered further investigations, with plans to bring the suspect to court afterwards,” added the statement.
