President Bola Tinubu
On Monday, January 20, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu returned to his duties at the Aso Villa following his attendance at the 2025 Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) in the UAE.
After arriving back in Abuja on Saturday night, Tinubu promptly engaged in numerous significant meetings.
His first meeting was with Zach Adedeji, the Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), who provided him with an update.
Subsequently, he met with Kogi State Governor Usman Ododo and House of Representatives member James Faleke for discussions.
At the Abu Dhabi summit, attended by over 3,500 delegates under the theme “The Nexus of Next; Supercharging Sustainable Progress,” President Tinubu reaffirmed Nigeria’s dedication to tackling climate change.
He spotlighted the country’s advancements in renewable energy and its initiatives aimed at lowering carbon emissions.
“Nigeria is ready to collaborate with other countries for a sustainable future,” Tinubu asserted, calling for global partnership in addressing issues like deforestation and flooding.
During the summit, Tinubu also held discussions with Rwandan President Paul Kagame about improving trade and cooperation within Africa.
The two leaders focused on harnessing Africa’s abundant resources and skilled workforce for self-sufficiency.
At the Zayed Sustainability Prize Awards Ceremony, Tinubu commended two Nigerian SMEs for their outstanding innovative efforts towards sustainability.
