Prince Harry Addresses Marriage Rumors
The Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry, has addressed the ongoing speculation regarding his relationship with Meghan Markle, emphasizing that their marriage remains strong after six years despite frequent online chatter to the contrary.
During the recent DealBook Summit, Harry took the opportunity to criticize those who spread rumors, expressing sympathy for internet trolls who seem to wish for the couple’s separation.
In a discussion with event organizer, Andrew Ross Sorkin, Harry dismissed the fascination surrounding their individual public appearances, amidst numerous articles questioning their relationship dynamics.
Laughing off the numerous claims of them moving or divorcing, he remarked, ‘Apparently, we’ve bought or moved house 10, 12 times. We’ve apparently divorced maybe 10, 12 times as well. So it’s just like, “what?”‘
He expressed that such speculations are not worth the emotional energy, stating, ‘The people I feel most sorry about are the trolls. Their hopes are just built and built… so I feel sorry for them. Genuinely, I do.’
Harry further reflected on his negative experiences with media portrayals, sharing, ‘I’ve seen stories written about myself that aren’t exactly based on reality… when you grow up within that environment, you do question the validity of the information.’
Lastly, he reiterated that Harry and Meghan, along with their children, Archie and Lilibet, have no intentions of returning to the UK, alluding to ongoing security concerns.
