Security Forces Detain Doctor Allegedly Aiding Infamous Bandit Leaders in Katsina

A doctor from Safana Local Government Area in Katsina State was apprehended by security forces for allegedly offering medical assistance to injured bandits, including the infamous Usman Modi Modi, who has a bounty of N50 million on him.

A security analyst, Zagazola Makama, acquired a video in which the accused, Lawan Ado, admitted to treating numerous injured bandits.

Ado mentioned that he was often taken to their secret hideaways when they required medical care.

He recounted that his first patient was Usman Modi Modi, whom he treated after the bandit leader was shot during a confrontation with the Yan Kyanbara vigilante group.



“He was initially hospitalized in Taskiya, but after two days, they brought me in for further treatment. I received N18,000 for my services,”
Ado explained.

He went on to reveal that he had also treated other prominent bandits, such as Mai Kudi, who was injured in Kurfi, for which he was paid N8,000.

Furthermore, he treated Audu, an associate of Usman Modi Modi, who also compensated him with N8,000.

Dogo Mardi, who suffered gunshot wounds during a robbery, paid him N11,000 for his medical services.

The suspect disclosed that he had traveled to various locations to provide medical care to bandits, including one known as Karanboguwa, among others.
