Solomon Buchi, a well-known Nigerian author and self-proclaimed life coach, faced criticism online after posting maternity pictures of his wife.
Critics took issue with the fact that he was seated while his pregnant wife stood during the shoot.
Excited about their upcoming child, Solomon shared their maternity photos on Instagram featuring him in a sitting position amidst an open area, while Arike stood behind him.
Many social media users criticized him, arguing that he should not have been sitting while his wife stood.
One user, @noty4yi exclaimed:
“You let your heavily pregnant wife stand in the sun while you sit? That shows no empathy for someone carrying your child. Women, choose a partner who treats you right. It’s odd to make her shade you from the sun, what kind of man does that?”
