Recently, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Nigerian Police Force PRO, faced criticism on social media for his response regarding updates on the abduction of 20 medical students from the University of Maiduguri and Jos. The students were kidnapped while traveling to Enugu for a convention.
A concerned individual on social media questioned Adejobi’s lack of updates on the well-being of the abducted students, highlighting the urgency of the situation.
Adejobi’s response, stating, “So you expect us to be updating you online?. You are indeed caring for them.. I think you should know the best way to have an update. Best wishes,” was met with negative reactions from Nigerians.
