Tragic Loss: Patience Umo Eno, First Lady of Akwa Ibom, Passes Away

The First Lady of Akwa Ibom State, Mrs. Patience Umo Eno, has passed away due to an unspecified illness, as announced by the State Commissioner for Information, Ini Ememobong, on September 27.

The Akwa Ibom State First Lady, Mrs. Patience Umo Eno, has passed away.

In a statement, Ini Ememobong revealed that she died on September 26, 2024, after battling an undisclosed illness. She was surrounded by family at the time of her passing.

Ememobong’s statement, titled “Unexpected Sunset,” expressed deep sorrow:

“It is with heavy hearts that we (Akwa Ibom Government) announce the passing of the Wife of the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Her Excellency, Pastor Mrs. Patience Umo Eno, following an illness.

The family has relinquished their grief to the will of the Almighty and requests support and prayers from the community during this trying time. They have asked for privacy as they mourn their dear wife, mother, and grandmother, and they will provide further details as needed.

Governor Pastor Umo Eno extends his gratitude to everyone who has supported the family during this period and reassures citizens that his dedication to serving the state remains unchanged despite this personal loss.
