President Tinubu Names Daniel Bwala as New Media Adviser
President Bola Tinubu has appointed Daniel Bwala, who previously served as a spokesperson for the Atiku Campaign, to the position of Special Adviser on Media and Public Communications at the State House.
In addition, President Tinubu made new appointments for three directors-general in various agencies.
Mr. Bayo Onanuga, who is the Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, issued a statement on November 14 announcing these appointments. The statement was titled ‘President Tinubu Appoints Three Directors-General And One Special Adviser On Public Communication.’
The newly appointed directors-general are: Mr. Olawale Olopade (National Sports Commission), Dr. Abisoye Fagade (National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism), and Dr. Adebowale Adedokun (Bureau of Public Procurement), with Bwala named as Special Adviser.
The Presidency highlighted Bwala’s background as a lawyer and a distinguished public affairs analyst.
Olawale Olopade, now the head of the National Sports Commission, is recognized for his extensive experience in sports administration. He has previously served as the commissioner for youth and sports in Ogun state and chaired the organizing committee for the 2024 National Sports Festival.
Dr. Abisoye Fagade, appointed as Director-General of the National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism, is a specialist in marketing communication and the founder of Sodium Brand Solutions.
Dr. Adebowale Adedokun, now at the Bureau of Public Procurement, was formerly the director of Research, Training, and Strategic Planning within the bureau.
The President has urged all newly appointed officials to perform their roles with commitment, patriotism, and excellence.
