Sean Combs, widely known as Diddy, and his legal representatives have been actively pursuing a bail arrangement prior to his May 2025 trial.
The hip-hop star is confronting serious allegations, including racketeering and sex trafficking, which could result in a lengthy prison sentence if he is convicted. Meanwhile, the 55-year-old is eager to leave Brooklyn‘s Metropolitan Detention Center, maintaining his innocence against the charges leveled by prosecutors.
Concerns Over Victims’ Safety
As Diddy’s fourth attempt for bail awaits a decision, attorney Ariel Mitchell, representing multiple alleged victims of Diddy, expressed that many are anxious about their safety if he is released. Mitchell voiced her belief that the court would likely deny Combs’ bail request.
“All of them are very apprehensive about their safety if he were to be granted bond,” said Mitchell. “I am confident in the court. I am sure that the court will remain with their previous decision of no bond.”
Judge Arun Subramanian is expected to make a ruling this week on whether Diddy will be released before his trial. Prosecutors allege that Combs is attempting to influence potential jurors and intimidate witnesses from jail. On the other hand, Diddy’s legal team argues that the prosecution is aiming to silence their client due to his public remarks and recent social media activity, including a heartfelt post for his daughter Love‘s second birthday.
