The sessions were expected to last four days after Turner sued Jonas last month for the “immediate return” of their daughters back to their “forever home” in England.
In the documents obtained by Page Six, the actress claimed she and the Jonas Brothers member planned to buy property in the UK before they called it quits.
She alleged Jonas changed his mind and refused to hand over their daughters’ passports in an effort to keep them in the US.
However, a rep for the Disney Channel alum vehemently denied the allegations, saying that the father of two had no issue with the kids “being raised both in the US and the UK.”
“This is an unfortunate legal disagreement about a marriage that is sadly ending,” the rep added. “When language like ‘abduction’ is used, it is misleading at best, and a serious abuse of the legal system at worst.”
The exes, who wed in 2019, are expected to appear in court on Jan. 2.
Until then, they have agreed to keep their daughters in NYC, where Turner is currently staying at pal Taylor Swift’s luxe Tribeca pad.
The singer has also been seen spending time in the Big Apple in between the Jonas Brothers’ tour dates.
