Ini Dima-Okojie, a well-known Nigerian actress, has revealed on Instagram that her fibroids have returned despite undergoing surgery two years ago to remove them.
Ini first discovered she had fibroids in 2017 and underwent a Myomectomy surgery in 2022, a procedure to remove fibroids. However, she has noticed the symptoms resurfacing, prompting her to advise women to undergo timely testing.
Ini Dima-Okojie has opted for a different method to shrink the fibroids this time, aside from the myomectomy procedure, in search of a long-term solution.
“My Fibroid Journey! I never imagined I’d be sharing this again after my last update on 30/12/2020, but here I am. My journey with fibroids isn’t over—I recently learned they’ve returned.
To all women dealing with fibroids, know that you are seen. It’s a challenging journey, but I hope we can alter the narrative and discover a genuine and permanent solution for fibroids,” she wrote in the post.
