Gov Lucky Aiyedatiwa
Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has announced a three-day period of mourning and prayers to honor the late Secretary to the Government (SSG), Mr. Tayo Oluwatuyi.
Aiyedatiwa visited the widow and family of Oluwatuyi in Akure, assuring them of the government’s support during this challenging time.
The mourning will take place from January 5 to 7, as a tribute to the late SSG.
The governor remarked that Oluwatuyi “lived a fulfilled life and positively influenced many.”
Oluwatuyi passed away on Saturday while receiving hospital care following a car accident.
Aiyedatiwa noted that Oluwatuyi was a significant figure in Ondo State politics, emphasizing that his contributions are an essential part of the state’s history.
He praised Oluwatuyi for being a true gentleman, who approached both his public duties and personal life with grace and humility.
In his prayer for the deceased, the Governor vowed to provide assistance to Oluwatuyi’s family during this difficult period.
In the condolence book, the Governor expressed: “Tayo Oluwatuyi, you came, you lived, you performed your God-given tasks and impacted lives. You have decided to leave us at a time we never expected but God said it is time to come home. May you have rest at the bosom of your creator.”
