On Saturday, Alex Otti was declared the winner of the Abia State governorship election. The Labour Party candidate secured 175,467 votes, while his closest rival, Okey Ahiwe of the PDP, received 88,529 votes. Otti is a former managing director of Diamond Bank, now Access Bank. He has been elected to the governorship of Abia State.
