The Nigerian government announced that the nation’s healthcare system has seen significant improvements, now drawing patients not only from West Africa but also from countries like the United States and the United Kingdom.
During a briefing for State House reporters following a Federal Executive Council meeting led by President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday, February 4, Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Muhammad Ali Pate, shared this positive development.
“Individuals are increasingly traveling from the subregion and even from remote locations such as the UK and the US for quality healthcare services in Nigeria,” he noted.
He emphasized that while there are still obstacles to overcome, the momentum of the transformation initiated by President Tinubu is clearly evident and progressing.
