Nigerian comedian Basketmouth recently posted a video where his daughter criticized him for his promotional antics related to his new film.
In the clip, shared on the X platform, Basketmouth was seen FaceTiming with his daughter, who expressed her discontent with his humorous dancing meant to promote the movie.
She urged him to stop dancing, saying it was causing embarrassment to their family. “Dad, I know you’re promoting your movie, but please cut out the dance moves. It’s embarrassing our whole family,” she explained.
“Hello, Daddy, I know you’re trying to promote your new movie, but can you stop with the dance? You’re embarrassing the entire Okpocha clan. Just stop; your movie will sell.”
In response, Basketmouth said that it was the influence of social media that made him feel he was embarrassing his children.
He shared his feelings on Twitter, reflecting on how he once believed he was a source of pride for his family.
“Look what you all have done now, making me humiliate my kids. I used to think I was the pride of my family.”
