Daniel Bwala, who serves as the Special Adviser on Policy Communications to President Bola Tinubu, has refuted claims of being demoted.
He expressed that he maintains a positive relationship with President Tinubu.
Initially, Bwala held the role of Special Adviser on Media and Public Communications, but this was later updated to his current position as Special Adviser on Policy Communications.
According to Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, the shift in roles within the State House media team was aimed at improving the effectiveness of governmental communication.
During his appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Bwala emphasized that this change should not be interpreted as a demotion, and he is satisfied with his job.
“I have never been demoted. I have an absolutely good relationship with the president, and I’m happy doing my job,” he stated.
Bwala also mentioned that supporting the Tinubu administration is straightforward due to the factual basis underlying their policies.
He highlighted that clarity, integrity, and diligent research are essential aspects of his approach.
“To defend this government, in my view, is the easiest thing to do because you speak to facts, be honest with Nigerians, and then be ready to counter any negative narrative or agenda-driven narrative,” he noted.
“With these principles clear in mind and thorough research in hand, it becomes a simple task,” he concluded.
