A mother in Okenne, Kogi State, is reaching out for assistance in locating her missing daughter.
She raised an alarm that her 32-year-old daughter, Hamidat Abdulrafiu, went missing after leaving home to meet a customer in Lokoja, Kogi State, on June 18, 2024.
Hamidat’s mother, Mrs. Ramot Yakubu, shared with City Round that her daughter has been unreachable since June 19.
Mrs. Ramot mentioned that Hamidat was last traced to Abuja, with no signs of kidnapping or accident reported. Despite efforts to locate her and reporting to the police, there have been no fruitful outcomes.
She explained, “Hamidat operates a business selling unisex clothing, often traveling to Lokoja to meet customers and collect payments for items sold on credit.
On the day of her disappearance, Hamidat contacted her mother upon arrival in Lokoja. However, subsequent attempts to reach her have been unsuccessful, raising concerns.
Her family, along with the police, have been diligently searching for leads but to no avail.
Meanwhile, authorities, including Officer John Stephen from the Adavi Police Divisional Headquarters, have acknowledged the situation, emphasizing the unusual nature of Hamidat’s extended absence.
