The governor attended a festive event organized by a former state governor, Peter Odili, in Port Harcourt.

Sim Fubara, the current Governor of Rivers State, expressed confidence in his upcoming political contest against Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

During the Christmas Ballad hosted by Peter Odili in Port Harcourt, he made his remarks.

In a statement released early Sunday by his Chief Press Secretary, Nelson Chukwudi, Fubara emphasized that his anticipated success hinges on the support from the people of Rivers State.

Fubara remarked: “My strength grows daily as I witness the backing from the genuine people of Rivers.”

“This isn’t merely my strength; it’s powered by all of you present. Your support, efforts, and communications have elevated me. So, how could I not stand for you?”

“We firmly believe that the ultimate force behind our success is God Almighty. With His presence, victory is guaranteed.”
