Three individuals accused of kidnapping and murdering a teenage cattle herder, Yahu Muhammad, have been apprehended. The suspects, identified as Umar Muhammad (24), Audu Muhammad (22), and Umar Danda (22), were arrested in Ogun State’s Imala area.
Tragically, the young victim was herding cattle in Akara Forest when he was taken. Despite the kidnappers receiving a ransom payment, the boy’s life was cut short.
According to a statement from the So-Safe Corps, led by Commander Soji Ganzallo and shared by Assistant Commander Moruf Yusuf, the suspects have been detained and transferred to the Imala Divisional Police Headquarters for further proceedings.
The abduction occurred on Saturday, September 7, 2024. After the incident was reported around 7pm, the Corps’ Special Squad was mobilized to save the boy.
Unfortunately, when the operatives reached the kidnappers’ location in Olodo Karaoke, they found the victim’s body while the cattle roamed the forest unattended.
The remains of the victim were collected and sent to the Imala Police Division along with the suspects for ongoing investigations and possible legal action.
