Zamfara First Lady To Sponsor Education Of 8-year-old Boy Who Vowed To Avenge Father’s Death In Viral Video

The first lady of Zamfara state, Huriyya Dauda Lawal, has expressed readiness to sponsor the education of an 8-year-old boy whose father was killed by yet-to-be-identified persons.

Hajiya Huriyya, who received the boy in her office on Thursday, promised to enrol him in military school if he showed interest in studying.

She also promised to render financial assistance to the boy and his mother.

Earlier, Commissioner for Women, Children and Social Development Affairs, Dr Nafisa Muhammad Maradun, pledged the state government’s support for the boy.

Sometime last month, a video which trended online showed an eight-year-old boy expressing grief over the killing of his father and vowing to take revenge.

The governor’s wife, while receiving the boy on Thursday, urged him to forget about seeking revenge.
