Senator Kingibe Open to Collaboration with Wike After Apology

Im Willing To Work With Wike If He Apologises For (via Primetweets)

Senator Ireti Kingibe from the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, expressed her willingness to cooperate with the FCT Minister Nyesom Wike if he offers an apology for his offensive remarks.

Kingibe and Wike have had a strained relationship since assuming their respective roles. Wike had threatened to remove the senator in the upcoming 2027 general elections if she continued to criticize his governance in the FCT.

He also made a harsh statement, telling Kingibe to hang herself on a transformer if she was dissatisfied with his performance.

During an interview on Channels TV, the Senator criticized Wike for his derogatory remark, emphasizing her seniority over the minister.

“It’s clear that he does not grasp the essence of governing the FCT. It’s not personal. He says ‘I don’t want to be her friend.’ How does governance equate to friendship?” she questioned.

“I am prepared to collaborate with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory once he apologizes for his disrespectful comment about me hanging on a transformer.

“Upon receiving the apology, we can reset our interactions. However, until then, everyone should maintain their boundaries. Respect should dictate his communication with me, considering my seniority,” she added.
