BUZZ: Kate Chastain: ‘RHONY’ reboot with new cast is ‘karma’ for ‘not nice’ Ramona Singer

“And you just never know if you’re rude to someone,” Chastain continues, “they could be taking over your TV show years down the road and telling the world that you were not nice.”

Kate Chastain believes Bravo’s “Real Housewives of New York City” reboot — with an entirely new cast — is “karma” for Ramona Singer’s “not nice” behavior.

The South Florida resident was, of course, referencing “RHONY” newbie Sai De Silva’s recent remarks about Singer, 66, saying the latter was a “total bitch” during a December 2022 encounter at Art Basel in Miami.

“I introduced myself,” the content creator said last month on “Watch What Happens Live” before host Andy Cohen cut her off and guessed, “Oh, boy, that didn’t go well.”

De Silva confirmed that the conversation “didn’t go really well.”

Singer starred on the original version of “RHONY” for 13 consecutive seasons before it ended in 2021.

“She treated me like a big — like, not a good fan,” she explained. “Then after that, I proceeded to say, ‘Oh, I just wanted to introduce myself. I’m on the reboot, the new era.’”

The fashion influencer claimed Singer responded, “‘Honey, good luck. You’re gonna need it.’”

Chastain tells Page Six that she witnessed similarly curt behavior from Singer years ago.

“I met Ramona when they were filming an episode of ‘RHONY’ on a boat in Sag Harbor before my Bravo days and she is who she is on TV,” the former chief stew recalls. “So I believe Sai’s story tracks.”

Both Chastain and Rosbach, 73, have been enjoying the current iteration of “RHONY” — featuring De Silva, Jenna Lyons, Jessel Taank, Erin Lichy, Ubah Hassan and Brynn Whitfield — which Bravo green-lit after the original version concluded a 13-season run in 2021.

“There’s a lot of pressure for them coming in and replacing such an iconic franchise,” Chastain notes. “But I cannot believe how well the cast has done, how much I’m enjoying it, how fresh it is and I just love every episode.”

The mom of one — who welcomed son Sullivan Cay in May — elaborates, “And it doesn’t feel like they’re trying to be like the old ‘RHONY.’ They’re just such a strong cast as their own.”

In addition to “RHONY,” Chastain and Rosbach will be sharing their hot takes on “Below Deck Down Under,” “Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip,” “Real Housewives of Orange County,” “Miami” and “Atlanta,” among more Bravo programming.

“I don’t know about Captain Lee, but this was my plan,” Chastain says, joking that she manifested her “Couch Talk” gig after leaving the yachting industry. “I mean, who doesn’t wish for this? We have the dream job. I love it so much. And I’m such a Bravo fan that this is just so fun for me.”

“Couch Talk with Captain Lee and Kate” premieres Monday at 10 p.m. ET on Bravo.
