Alhaji Umar Labbo, Executive Secretary of the Jigawa State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, announced that the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has allocated 1,225 seats to the state for the 2023 Hajj exercise. He also revealed that the Board had deposited N2.5 billion to NAHCON as part of the state’s 2023 Hajj fares. Labbo stated that each intending pilgrim in Jigawa will have to pay N2.9 million as Hajj fare, as approved by NAHCON. Additionally, 80% of the seats allocated to the state have been distributed among its 27 local government areas for sale to intending pilgrims. Furthermore, AZMAN Airlines has been assigned to transport the state’s pilgrims. Labbo urged all those who have yet to complete their payment of Hajj fares to do so before April 21. He also commended Governor Muhammad Badaru of Jigawa for his support for the Board.
