Tragic Incident on the Football Field

A young man named Yakubu tragically collapsed and passed away during a football game in Minna, Niger State.
 
The unfortunate event occurred on February 12, 2025, during a prewedding football match at the UBE Primary School field in the New Market area of Minna.
 
Local reporter Lanre Sadiq shared that Yakubu suddenly fell to the ground while playing with others.
 
Despite immediate efforts to rush him to the hospital, he was declared dead upon arrival.
 
“This is the third unfortunate event reported at the New Market football field. Last year, a young man known as ABK also collapsed and died during a match at the same site,” Sadiq noted.
 
“The funeral prayer for Yakubu is scheduled for this morning at 9:00 AM in the Sayako area of New Market in Minna. May Allah grant him forgiveness and provide strength to his family and friends.”
